Letter Following Parents Seminar

Letter Following Parents Seminar

(Editor's note:  Judy Sanders served as moderator for the Parents Seminar described in the previous article, and received this letter afterward.)

Dear Judy:

We would like to thank you for the excellent job that you did as moderator at the "Getting together" meeting on Saturday, May 6, 1994.  Please thank all of the others who volunteered to make it such a successful day.  We felt so welcomed and well taken care of.  Both of our boys had fun.  Mike met a new friend, Adam.  I hope they weren't too misbehaved.  Matt had an absolutely wonderful day exploring the "mansion" and talked about it halfway home.  We hope to bring him in the Buddy Program in the summer of 1995 when he turns nine years old.  Going to school in the "mansion" will be very enticing to him.  I think he is also very interested in meeting other blind people.  It was a good day for him.

I'm really glad that Minnesota has formed a parents division.  I've always felt that the MN NFB has a strong network with excellent leaders.  Being a parent member and a board member will make me feel a part of it.  I hope we can do a good job and continue to grow.

Thanks again,

Jim and Penny Langland.
